Toiling away in the office is something of the past. These days, many jobs that can be done at home are done so. What more with the global pandemic, Covid-19. Many people’s work regime has completely shifted online. Even meetings that were once handled in person are now done online. However, fret not, work in the office has not completely halted, and we can go back to our 9 to 6 in the office. Though it may be difficult for those of us who have only just begun working. Here are 4 tips on how to make your office a better location to work at.
Food Eateries
Food is essential for everyone. We all know that. Especially when you’re working, sustenance is a must. Hence, I believe that restaurants and coffee shops should be within easy walking distance. They should at most be a block or two away from your office building. Better yet if there are food eateries in your office building itself. An added bonus you could hope for is that the prices of food there would be affordable. Of course, this depends on where your office buildings are located. So if you’re looking to open a new business or another outlet, there are office leasings around Petaling Jaya that you could opt for.
Distance to Home
Just like how students feel like school is their second home, so too do the working folk. And why wouldn’t you feel like that? The average worker’s working hours are around 35 to 40 hours a week. This means that they are in the office for around 7 to 8 hours a day. Nevertheless, nothing beats a comfy home where you can just kick back and relax anytime you want. Which is exactly what you would want to do after office hours. Thus, finding an office that is close to your home would be ideal for many. A distance of 15 minutes or less would be optimum for all. After work, you could be home, showered and rested within the hour if your work is close by.
Public Transportation
Not many of us drive, and even if we do, we don’t have the cars to drive. Hence, it would be ideal if we could have alternative public transportation available to us. Buses or trains would be extremely beneficial in making sure you get to work on time. By taking the train, you would also be able to beat the traffic, especially when it’s congested during peak hours. What’s worse is if you work in areas that are capital or the business hub like Kuala Lumpur, Klang Valley, Petaling Jaya or more.
Optional Parking
Finally, if you are one who drives to work, the best thing you could have is optional parking. Parking space is something many fight for during peak hours, hence, it would be best if there is ample parking space for you to park your car. Better yet, if your parking spots are free of charge or paid for by the office.
